The penthouse apartment owner wants a wood-burning stove... but not the expense of installing it to code. The Michaels are about to lose the building account until – A-ha! – they are able to visualize for her the hidden costs of rogue construction.

B: Catastrophe Relationship
The Michaels plan to broker an agreement among factory owners, to provide protection in the case of emergency. The only catch? The competitors are sworn enemies.

A simple burglary claim turns very strange... when the robber sues the homeowners, for injuries incurred during the theft.

A sewage backup floods a home with sewage. When the claim gets denied (the homeowner's policy doesn't protect them against the city's negligence), The Michaels clean up the mess.

An S&M club poses a variety of challenges for insurers. If someone is injured on the premises, or at home by someone they met at the venue, the club can be found guilty of gross negligence or willful misconduct. The Michaels untangle the issues when extreme is the goal.

  HOME BIRTH
While more parents are pursuing the intimacy of a home birth, it is essential that the experience have the safety and rigor of a hospital setting. The Michaels work with a midwife to meet the standards for liability insurance.

STRIKE!
A wildcat strike, unauthorized by the employees' union, is the most vulnerable of movements. There's no hope of success unless the strikers can be protected – from violence, from retaliation firings, and from internal squabbles.
